Who We're Looking For
This role's core purpose is to inform, educate, and persuade Goalbook's target audience through concise and compelling copywriting. Our ideal candidate is a skilled copywriter with knowledge of the K-12 special education system and previous experience in education technology companies, education publications, social enterprises, or marketing agencies.
This role requires a keen awareness of how word choices affect people and great attention to detail in all aspects, including file organization and naming conventions.
This is a remote position with some required travel including, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Write concise, engaging, and persuasive copy for print and digital marketing materials, including emails, campaigns, advertisements, web pages, landing pages, product flyers, sales collateral, customer success materials, webinar titles and descriptions, social media posts, and more.
- Collect and analyze data to gain insight into copy performance, formulate hypotheses to explain the results, and make data-driven decisions based on your hypotheses to improve results.
- Establish, manage, and improve the workflow of copy creation processes.
- Support the consistency and accuracy of all written marketing content, including proofreading and editing.
- Write longer-form content on Goalbook’s DEIA work, in collaboration with Goalbook team leaders and the company’s DEIA team.
- Write longer-form expert positioning pieces on various topics, including research, pedagogy, and product design.
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a copywriter, content writer, or similar role in an EdTech company, education publication, non-profit organization, or marketing/advertising agency.
- A diverse portfolio of copywriting examples.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills.
