What you will do:
As our Assistant Controller, you will support Korry’s Controller in financial compliance and reporting integrity, reinforce internal controls, make sure that financial reports are accurate and timely, and lead and develop your team. You will be a change agent – drive process improvements, leverage new and existing technologies, provide expert advice, and challenge us to be even better. This is an onsite position, reporting to the Controller.

What you will do:
As our Assistant Controller, you will support Korry’s Controller in financial compliance and reporting integrity, reinforce internal controls, make sure that financial reports are accurate and timely, and lead and develop your team. Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of three and oversee full cycle accounting for the company; coach them to reach their highest potential
- Ensure accuracy of financials and on time delivery of reporting:
- Support Controller in the direction of month end close activities and reporting
- Maintain effective financial reporting processes and tools
- Maintain strong internal financial controls
- Be a finance subject matter expert for all teams:
- Support business unit managers with quarterly presentations
- Support the Controller with internal and external auditor requests
- Coach non-finance professionals across the business on finance rules and applicable internal controls
- Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas:
- Work with our IT department on automation of processes and adoption of new technologies to help leverage the power of data
- Lead Korry in identifying ways to improve its Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflow efficiency
- Lead special projects identifying where Korry can improve its utilization of ERP across the business
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related experience is preferred; MBA or other advanced degree or certifications are highly desired
- 5+ years in similar roles
- Extensive experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace
- Solid technical accounting skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete coherent monthly analysis to explain variances to budget, prior year or deviation to expected result
- Hands on experience in data warehouse/power BI projects
- Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand a business’s strategy and determine the linkages to financial initiatives and drivers.
- Track record of successfully managing people, projects and tasks
- High level of computer proficiency, including advanced capabilities with Excel
- Please note the typical hiring range is $140,000 - $170,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
