What You Will Do:
As a CNC Programmer at Korry you will need a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role is tasked with working in close contact with machinist, leads, engineering teams, and machining operations management to increase productivity and optimizing machining programs and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE software to program parts.
- Vericut NC files as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
- Machining parts for production.
- Knowledgeable of cutting tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life
- Makes or offers suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability.
- Constantly keeps products moving and alerting management when production is inhibited.
- Provides consistent ideas for process improvements.
- Mentors motivated machinists with programming knowledge
- Turn-key part manufacturing involving planning tools and materials, programming and machining parts for critical part processes.
What You'll Need :
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or related work experience.
- 5+ years of current CNC programming, in 3,4 and 5 axis machines with project/process creation with prototyping experience.
- Programming multi axis CNC mills and lathes.
- Journey-level machining required with ability to set up and operate Haas, and Mori Seiki mills, and be fluent in Fanuc controls.
- Must have experience in fixturing and tooling.
Preferred Experience:
- 10+ years CNC programming.
- Tool room experience a plus.
- Manual machine setup, with production operation.
Specialized skills and abilities:
- Must be available for 1st shift(6am-2:30pm)
- Must be available for overtime and weekends.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours.
- Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces.
- Ability to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
Physical Requirements:
- This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
- This role routinely uses machinery that requires frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must use hands in a very precise manners when building parts.
