About the Role
Capella Space is seeking a Project Manager, People and Talent with a comprehensive understanding of the People/HR function to bolster our dynamic People Operations team. Reporting directly to our Senior. Director, HR & Talent, this individual will play a pivotal role in various aspects of the department, influencing team priorities and strategy, and taking ownership of key components of day-to-day operations. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation and execution of People programs and projects, while also providing essential administrative support and serving as a backup to other HR team members as required.
Role Responsibilities
- Drive the development and implementation of new and existing People programs and projects across company, in partnership with key stakeholders and peers
- Provide broad People Operations support and address employment-related inquiries from team members
- Lead process improvement efforts utilizing process control modeling
- Creatively glean data from disparate sources and provide data-based insights and data visualizations
- Manage cross-functional project teams
- Create workflows and processes for team projects
- Contribute to and help drive People Ops projects and initiatives such as annual open enrollment, performance reviews, training and development, recognition programs.
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies to promote an efficient, compliant, and conflict-free workplace.
- Influence and support activities that drive employee engagement, talent development, and DEIA initiatives.
- Support the roll-out of annual employee voice survey and own key action items with business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and oversee People/HR compliance processes and audits.
- Manage and respond to unemployment claims, as well as update Capella's policies as needed.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and people managers to provide thought partnership and subject matter expertise on people management best practices, systems and resources.
- Partner with people managers to understand business needs and support organizational development, structure, performance management, and talent development.
- Utilize data to develop the People agenda, tracking and reporting staffing, retention, attrition, and other necessary metrics to line management, and recommending programs or enhancements as necessary.
- Collaborate on special and cross-functional projects as identified.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in People & Culture focused Project Management 3+ years HR People Operations experience
- Experience in startup and/or high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
- Strong knowledge of Compensation Programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
- Ability to work enthusiastically with diverse people and personalities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, Performance Management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365
- Certification in HR management is a plus.
- MBA or Graduate Analytics Degree is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $68,600 - $102,800. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
