Job Description
The Cavanal Hill Investment Management Trader I is primarily responsible for identifying the best source for execution of security trades with the brokerage industry. This position will focus on repurchase agreements, Treasury bills/notes, agency securities, municipal bonds, and equity securities; The Trader I will monitor accounts daily for trade settlement issues as well as be responsible for managing the cash needs in the Cavanal Hill mutual funds.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will daily invest in money market funds and execute broker repurchase agreements, adhering to SEC guidelines and best execution practices.
- You’ll help traders execute trades, choose the best broker and system, analyze securities for optimal performance, record completed trades, and coordinate with wealth management and brokers to solve settlement issues.
- You’ll oversee client accounts, manage funds, ensure compliance, and monitor security ratings.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in security trading or 7-8 years equivalent work experience. NASD Series 65 required or the willingness to acquire the license.
- Thorough knowledge of fixed income and equity securities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent developmental and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under extreme pressures with strict time frames.
