A bit about this role:
This is a full-time and fully remote Bilingual position in the United States working with working families to improve the financial health of working families. Our Bilingual Certified Financial Planner is at the center of Brightside's work with clients. By building a trusting relationship that combines financial expertise with compassionate support, you will be able to make a positive impact in the lives of our employee clients and their families. In this role, you will serve our clients and provide comprehensive concierge financial services to them. You will help them develop strategies for getting out of debt, managing cash flow, bill negotiations, insurance, taxes, retirement, savings, and improving behavior relative to their finances to save and plan for the future. You will have the support of other specialists around you as well as our home grown technology to help you with all avenues of care/needs for your clients. The meaningful work you will tackle:

- Form relationships with our clients and truly help guide them by providing options for their financial well-being.
- Provide financial education on relevant topics such as spending/saving/planning/credit score & debt pay down.
- Understanding client motivation to help them make changes in their financial behavior and remove barriers in the way of their success.
- Deliver sound financial strategies to help clients meet their short-term and long-term goals.
- Contribute and/or lead the ongoing development of material/education/trainings that increase the overall organization’s understanding of complex financial scenarios.
- Use your CFP expertise to support our Financial Assistants with complex client scenarios.
- Offer options and take action with negotiation strategies for clients on recurring bills.
- Provide emotional support to clients as it relates to their financial situation.
- Do the legwork on behalf of clients based on their unique situation, researching available options and solutions and teaching them skills for their own work in the future.
- Engage (via chat/email/phone) with our clients to understand their motivation to help them make changes in their financial behavior and remove any barriers in the way of their success.
- Evaluate the full financial picture and use critical thinking/problem-solving skills to provide financial education and options.
- Dig into internal and external financial resources or solutions, on the behalf of your clients, and help them understand options for stronger budgeting, cash management and other financial goals.
- Deliver personalized financial options/solutions to help clients work toward their immediate and future financial goals.
- Most importantly, you will be your client's trusted accountability partner throughout the entire relationship.
What we’re looking for in your background & what makes you a success:

- Bilingual preferably in English/Spanish.
- We're looking for empathetic critical thinkers who want to help lower financial stress and improve the financial health of working families.
- A Certified Financial Professional (CFP) designation is required for this role.
- Ability to work remotely and still be present and effective for your clients and colleagues.
- A strong technology comfort with Google/Chrome/Slack based products and platforms.
- Financial industry background in banking, financial planning, or credit counseling to be able to understand the different spectrums of financial health is preferred.
- A growth-oriented mindset and a strong desire to work in a client-focused service atmosphere.

- You can remotely build a trusting relationship (in a multitasking type of way) via phone/chat/email.
- You’re empathetic and caring with a good sense of boundaries and professionalism.
- You are a creative critical thinker (able to collect, synthesize, interpret and evaluate data in service of planning and decision-making).
- You thrive in a changing environment by seeking new information and rapidly apply across a complex set of expectations and skills
