Associate, Teacher Outreach for Partnerships

In this role you will:
- Project manage marketing efforts across 30+ corporate and foundation partnerships every school year.
- Strategize on marketing approaches to meet partner goals, drawing from past case studies, tried-and-true marketing tactics, and site data to make recommendations on how to effectively drive teacher awareness of an offer.
- Independently prioritize work across several partnerships at a time, based on most urgent partner needs and backwards planning to deadlines.
- Monitor progress towards each project’s goals, and spot swiftly when we need to pivot tactics.
- As needed, enact direct-to-teacher outreach to help a partnership reach its goals, jumping in to help send emails, drive teacher word-of-mouth, or collaborate with a school principal to help teachers participate in an offer.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across teams to enact the most effective marketing tactics.
- Work with experts across our digital marketing, partnership management, teacher engagement programs, and customer support teams to solicit their feedback on paths forward and to enact key actions to help each project’s marketing tactics hit its goals.
- Create and maintain workflows to help those collaborations be effective, efficient, and keep work moving forward towards key deadlines.
- Act as a stellar communicator who listens deeply to collaborator goals and feedback, provides them with the support and inputs needed to effectively move forward work towards our teacher engagement goals, and builds and maintains trust with them over time.
- Surface process improvements and insights from your work, and tackling opportunities to make your work more effective and efficient over time
- Be a student of our teacher engagement data for every offer you market, identifying trends that can help make your next marketing effort more effective.
- Identify when process friction is prohibitive and when teacher engagement with some offers is trending short of expectations, and propose solutions.
- Surface for the larger team trends in partner goals and teacher engagement that can help spark more opportunities for growing partner giving.

- You’re tech-savvy: you’d quickly pick up the basics of a few different data and email platforms, and you’d feel comfortable learning new systems as needed.
- You have strong instincts for when processes and workflows are causing yourself and the people you collaborate with unnecessary friction, and you are motivated to work with stakeholders to find solutions for those challenges.
- You’re a creative problem solver with analytical chops. You love digging into the data to see what works and using your learnings to inform new ideas.
- You’re eager to learn and improve. You make it a priority to personally reflect on how you can grow from constructive feedback from your manager and close collaborators.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this role is competitive with equivalent roles at other nonprofits of our size. In addition, we offer full-time staff 25 paid vacation days per year and 11 paid holidays, a rich employer-paid individual and family health plan, a matching 401(k) plan (up to 5% of base salary), annual professional development stipend, and casual and flexible work environment. Our compensation philosophy ensures that we are both externally competitive with tech-forward nonprofits of a similar size and internally fair in our pay practices. The following ranges represent the target offer range given the scope and experience expectations for this role.
- The hiring salary range for this role is $48,000 - $52,000.
- We have a hiring salary range of $49,000- $55,000 for specific higher cost of labor locations, which include New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, and Washington, D.C.

Hybrid Workplace and Other Details
In this role, you’ll have the option to work a flexible hybrid schedule in our NYC office, or to work fully remotely from CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, ME, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or WI.
Candidates who are not in the NYC area should expect to travel to our NYC office on an as-needed basis, about 4-6 times per year. All work-related travel expenses will be covered by the organization and proper safety precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
