Duties

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Perform software system design, development, coding, testing or integration in the development of data acquisition and controls software compliant with NASA software engineering requirements.
• Perform software testing, prototype development or testing, bug fixes testing, or new features testing as needed through software peer reviews and system validation.
• Support lab management for installed and stored acquisition hardware, ensuring proper maintenance, documentation, and compatibility with software systems.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot acquisition hardware, including transducers for high-speed and low-speed measurements, Data Acquisition (DAQ) cards, Programmable Logic Circuits (PLCs), and sensors.
• Assist in the design and selection of acquisition components such as transducers, amplifiers, and signal conditioning equipment to meet specific testing requirements.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of calibration routines for data acquisition systems, ensuring measurement accuracy and reliability.
• Provide end-user support for software applications, hardware configuration, and integrated system operations.
• Support the packaging, release, and deployment of software to on-site and off-site users, ensuring compatibility with existing hardware systems.
