About the role:
Known’s Media Science team uses advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics, and algorithms to plan, spend, and optimize advertising dollars. We partner with our clients to translate their business goals into meaningful metrics, and buy media across all channels to drive those target outcomes. We are looking for an Ad Ops Specialist to join the team and work alongside data analysts, data scientists, media buyers, and software engineers.
As our Ad Operations Associate Director, you will drive the operational execution of our largest media campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally and assuring top-tier quality in tagging, trafficking, and asset management. We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a passion for analytics, and a commitment to refining and automating processes as we scale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Asset Management & Trafficking: Oversee the organization, management, and trafficking of creative assets for high-impact media campaigns, making sure assets flow and availability is seamless
- Pixel & Tag Implementation: Implement, validate, and manage pixels and tracking tags to enable accurate conversion tracking. Integrate tags with Known’s suite of automated testing tools for improved tracking reliability.
- Quality Control & Measurement: Own the quality and accuracy of measurement data across campaigns, verifying setups and providing reliable analytics. Document and improve troubleshooting protocols to prevent repeat issues.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (e.g., media strategy, data science) and external vendors to streamline campaign operations and assure cohesive execution of strategy.
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to define and improve processes and systems as we scale, working to identify and implement operational efficiencies and standardize best practices.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Manage technical issues related to ad serving, placements, tagging, measurement, and delivery, with quick and effective resolutions while documenting solutions.
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
- A BS/BA degree from a well-regarded college or university; STEM degrees are preferred.
- 3+ years of digital media experience within an agency environment, with a strong track record managing tagging, trafficking, and assets for large paid media campaigns
- Proficiency in creative asset management in tools like Brandfolder or other Digital Asset Management (DAMs) systems
- Hands-on experience with Ad Servers (CM360 preferred) and trafficking and distribution of creatives using them.
- Strong expertise in Event Tagging and Attribution (GTM preferred), with a solid technical understanding of digital measurement frameworks
- Familiarity with the ad tech ecosystem (media platforms, DSPs, SSPs, data vendors, attribution vendors, verification vendors, etc.)
- Knowledge of data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance best practices
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira) and methodologies to coordinate cross-functional work efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting new tools, technologies, and processes as the ad tech landscape evolves
- Superb attention to detail and a passion for managing the quality & accuracy of analytics, including checking your and others’ work
- Demonstrated adaptability to fast-paced environments, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Deeper experience with programming and software development to optimize technical workflows is a plus

The base salary for this position is $120K-$130K.
This range is posted in compliance with state and municipal Pay Transparency laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to receive additional Known benefits.
