Job Duties and Responsibilities
Platform Engineering Manager sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, Colorado.
Responsible for the overall strategy, planning, delivery, and support of a complex service or group of smaller services, ensuring services are delivering value to the customer and performant for the customer. Provide strong technical expertise in platform architecture, with a strong vision to platform thinking throughout Dish. Oversee the quality of the code and products throughout the entire development lifecycle (DevOps). Drive for continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability of the platform. Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and other engineering directors to create and maintain a digital roadmap. Coaching and career development for engineering managers and staff.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology Management, Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science or a closely related field. 5 years of experience in job offered or as Technical Lead or closely related. Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Leverage Docker, EKS, or AWS to understand how processes, containers, and container schedulers work
- Production experience with continuous integration tools like Gitlab or Jenkins
- Production experience with Webmethod Java or Python
- Expertise in Terraform or Cloudformation
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $159,000.00/Year - $159,000.00/Year
