Primary Job Function:
The Analyst, Client Solutions Group (RFP Writer) plays a critical role in the sales process by helping the firm acquire and retain assets under management by meeting the information needs of prospects and clients in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completes and reviews requests for proposals (RFP’s), due diligence questionnaires, and data requests from clients and prospects.
- Develops the periodic reporting and ad hoc data analysis, in partnership with global distribution, for Thornburg’s institutional client base.
- Manages projects associated with business development and client service, including updating and reviewing consultant databases.
- Contributes to a team effort by servicing clients in various channels.
- Utilizes software tools such as FactSet, Morningstar, Bloomberg, eVestment and Clearwater to find and report financial data.
- Reviews and updates the product and firm profiles on consultant databases.
- Develops a deep knowledge of Thornburg’s investment offerings and clients to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Develops a strong understanding of Thornburg’s asset management product offerings, as well as an understanding of our sales and client service processes.

- 2+ years of investment industry experience - required.
- Bachelor's degree - required; Finance, Marketing, or Economics degree - preferred.
- Knowledge of FactSet, Morningstar, Bloomberg - preferred.
- Experience with eVestment, consultant databases, and Omni - preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain them within one year of hire - required.
- Understanding of relevant data and analytics, including performance, attribution, risk metrics, portfolio characteristics.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage projects and switch between tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
