JOB SUMMARY/BASIC FUNCTION:

This position has administrative responsibility for coordination of complex academic program elements requiring collaboration with students, faculty, and other departments and programs.

This 100% onsite position oversees Boise State’s portfolio of revenue-generating testing (Placement Testing, Credit for Prior Learning Testing, Distance Learning Proctored Exams, Vendor Testing) and serves as the community and vendor liaison expert to develop and expand upon testing opportunities both at Boise State University and in partnership with community entities.

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

60% of the time the Manager, Proctoring and Certification Services (PACS):

• Provides administrative support.
• Facilitates the delivery of required program services.
• Maintain students files/records.
• Analyzes data, generates and/or assists with, and disseminates periodic reports (monthly and semester).
• May provide support to student groups.
• May oversee the work of less experienced employees or students.
• May independently manage specific program activities.
• Planning and executing assigned projects and operations within the specified department.

35% of the time the Manager, Proctoring and Certification Services (PACS):

• Coordinates with departments and units around campus to maintain and improve established systems and procedures for testing, such as New Student Orientation Placement Testing, the College of Western Idaho Credit for Prior Learning Testing partnership and Educational Access Center (EAC) Accommodated Testing.
• Develops, with internal and external partners, new revenue-generating testing solutions that meet the needs of our campus and broader community.
• Provides direct supervision to student proctors and temporary classified staff who are overseeing both in person and remote testing.

5% of the time the Manager, Proctoring and Certification Services (PACS): 

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

• Ability to work independently and use reference manuals to develop proficiency with software or computer systems.
• Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills in the preparation and presentation of results.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to effectively prioritize and work on multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills and efficiency.

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.
