Job Summary/Basic Function: |
The purpose of the Project Manager position is to facilitate, manage and successfully implement assigned enterprise projects. The Project Manager is the person who has overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. They ensure that projects follow the OIT project process and project management framework. |
Level Scope: |
Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees. |
Essential Functions: |
60 % of Time Project Manager 1 will: University Industry Collaborations: 5% Perform other duties as assigned. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
● Excellent communications skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2 years relevant professional experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
● Prefer experience in a higher education or government organization. ● Prefer advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with complex technical subjects and tasks. ● Prefer experience working with both functional and technical users to define business needs. |
Salary and Benefits: |
