The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for a Functional Analyst, Admissions and Records. The Functional Analyst will report to the Associate Registrar of Operations and Student Systems, Functional Analysts within Admissions and Records. This role will ensure the data integrity of student records and functionality in the student information system as well as other enrollment related systems.  The Analyst will work closely with OIT for timely and efficient solutions for all software related functional needs for Admissions/Registrar functions.  This role is responsible for data/system testing, quality assurance reporting/research/correction, troubleshooting, and collaborating with functional users for process improvement.

The Functional Analyst 1 conducts functional systems testing, creates and manages functional workflow and forms for approval and documentation of curriculum and exception processing, manages NSHE University ID reconciliation, troubleshoots functional problems, creates and runs quality control reports and other system queries for data extraction.

The Functional Analyst 2, in addition to the Functional Analyst 1 responsibilities, assesses systems needs and issues and under the direction of the Associate Registrar implements functionality of the student information system related to Admissions and Registrar functions.

Required Qualifications

Functional Analyst 1

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: Experience in higher education enrollment/student services or relevant functional analyst experience or related experience

Functional Analyst 2

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: Experience processing and working with data in an enterprise system in higher education enrollment/student services or relevant functional analyst experience with enterprise system or related experience.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.
