Job Description
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for an adjunct instructor in French. Position begins August 19, 2024. Responsibilities include teaching 4-12 units (one to three courses) of first-year French in person under the supervision of a program coordinator.
Required Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in English and French;
M.A. in French or equivalent degree;
Demonstrated excellence, or clear evidence of potential for excellence, in teaching first-year university French.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence, or clear evidence of potential for excellence, in teaching basic French;
Evidence of, or potential for, effective interaction with a diverse range of students and colleagues.
Compensation Grade
Adjunct instructors are paid $1,250 per credit with no benefits.
