Job Description

The Dean’s Office within the College of Science at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for a Student Worker Level 2 or Level 3. This posting is for the Student Worker Level 2 position.

 

Student Worker Level 2: This is a Part-Time Temporary Student Worker position that will provide office and clerical support to the Assistant to the Dean and also assisting other offices within the College of Science. This position is required to work mostly on-site and may include off-site events help. This position is scheduled for up to 25 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities

• Clerical duties such as: filing, answering phones/emails, greeting visitors, scanning, making copies, keeping the conference room tidy

• Tasks within Workday (such as p-cards, travel)

• Create host docs for approval/routing

• Aids the Events Coordinator with College events

• Additional projects as needed

 

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno

• Candidate must have good communication skills

• Candidate must have the ability to follow direction

• Candidate must be a reliable self-starter who can think on his/her feet and is not afraid to ask questions

• Candidate must be detail oriented, organized, efficient, and able to maintain confidentiality

• Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

Schedule

Expected hours to work per week: 25

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and is subject to change based on organizational needs and events scheduled outside of normal work hours.

The final schedule will be determined by the manager to meet organizational needs and can be modified if necessary.
