The Quality Engineering (QE) team thrives in an environment where collaboration and openness are valued. Our focus is being the voice of quality from the engagement of product owners, developers, and designers to build better software by improving speed, efficiency, and collaboration during the development lifecycle.
As a Principal Engineer of Quality Engineering, you’ll be focused on creating automated testing solutions for any of the products within the EverFi portfolio. You’ll collaborate with Agile development teams and internal Quality Engineering team to deliver quality excellence.
- What you will do:
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve CI/CD cloud infrastructure and product deployment pipelines.
- Create and maintain deployment pipelines by working with software development teams to automate the build, testing, and deployments using DevOps tools.
- Building and deploying immutable infrastructure and components.
- Contributor to the engineering team technical testing direction including mentoring and reviewing senior team members’ work and recommendations.
- Be the department's “go-to” technical resource for test automation development and continuous deployment.
- Participate in tool analysis, creates proof of concept models, and make recommendations to support the tools selection process.
- Coordinate quality efforts across the engineering, product, and design teams.
- Mentor developers on quality activities ownership and how to become a quality advocate.
- Provide detailed quality reports to management.
- Evaluate new technologies for software development, quality, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with management to tune processes, increase productivity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Work with various teams to promote quality processes, practices, and standardization.
- Works with the development team to write automated tests and implement mocking/stubbing services for sprint activities.
- On a daily basis, using tools and technologies for sprint activities; sprint tasks and logging defects, GitHub, Command-line, Javascript, Cypress for front-end testing, Applitools for visual testing, and Postman for back-end testing.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug automated test failures within any automation project.
What you will bring:
- 6+ years experience in developing automated tests for web applications, mobile applications, or APIs.
- Experience in leading and managing a development project.
- 6+ years experience in Linux systems administration,
- 6+ years experience in testing solution technologies,
- 6+ years experience in software development and DevOps
- 6+ years experience in developing automated tests for web applications, mobile applications, or APIs
- Expertise in at least one scripting/programming language.
- Experience designing and implementing testing solutions to improving the speed of testing, efficiency, and reliability.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes on Amazon Web Services or similar cloud infrastructure systems.
- Required experience using Git, GitHub, Gitlab to manage code.
- Required experience with ADO or ticket tracking systems.
- Required experience with Confluence or similar collaboration systems.
- Required experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI, etc.
- Knowledge with software quality, testing methodologies, and test automation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills regarding story pointing/estimation, defects reported, test results and status.
- Bring a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies.

The starting base pay is $101,900.00 to $132,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.Benefits Include:
