What you'll do
- Provide leadership to a team of administrators fostering individual responsibility and accountability to the users of IT services delivered
- Direct a team of administrators to deliver data processing information and equipment to Hunter Douglas
- Designs and implements a PC LAN and WAN network for a large site containing UNIX-based servers, Linux Systems, Windows Systems, VMWare and Novell Systems
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
- Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Collaborate with business partners, vendors, service providers, and IT teams through a combination of ticket, personal and telephone interaction
- Manages and maintains end-user access to systems, services, servers, devices, and desktop/laptop computers in a prompt and effective manner. Works closely with Corporate IT to troubleshoot if needed

Configures and installs VMware, Microsoft servers and Novell servers, and network equipment and security systems along with the installation of third-party software as part of a mixed server and Cisco networking infrastructure.

Who you are
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field

A minimum of 7 to 9 years of related experience with the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Expert knowledge with systems integration and network design experience of large networks.

Expert knowledge with WAN and LAN switching such as, Central Office switch.

Expert knowledge with TCP/IP and networking protocols: T1, E1, DS3, ISDN, Ethernet.

Expert knowledge with interconnecting networks using IP, IP routing, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, static routing and distributed static routes.
- Expert knowledge in working within a Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 environment and UNIX based server environment

Expert knowledge of various hardware and software installations, integrations and upgrades on multiple platforms and configurations.

Expert knowledge in identifying and troubleshooting operational problems with telecom/datacom hardware.
- Ability to analyze results and make recommendations on the basis of those results
