Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Work with design to create beautiful and intuitive client facing applications
- Balance reusability with bundle size to deliver performant solutions
- Collaborate with our product management and design teams to understand customer pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch daily
- Build a product that our customers genuinely love
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 3-5+ years of client side experience
- Experience with Angular, React, jQuery
- Exposure to backend development - Spring boot a plus
- SQL and fundamentals of relational database design (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
- Strong work ethic supported by solid time-management skills
- Passionate about creating memorable experiences for customers
- Interest in complex product development problems
- Appreciation for a collaborative, test-driven environment
- Experience turning wireframes and mockups into elegantly executed code
- Well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $135,000/yr to $161,000/yr in Scottsdale & most major metro locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
