Key Areas of Responsibility
- Be the Product Design Authority/Owner for one of the Thales’ product lines.
- Support proposal/capture efforts including being the referent for understanding context and customer needs.
- Be the main technical leader of a proposal effort and/or project team depending on the current need.
- Act as technical Point-Of-Contact (POC) for Thales customers for all things NAVAIDS related.
- Contribute to system level integration in terms of requirements/system knowledge and expectations and support the execution of hardware and software integration projects and programs.
- Author technical documents (e.g. SSDDs).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Systems, Electrical, Software Engineering, or other technical field with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience acting as a technical referent (i.e. Product Design Authority/Owner) in an international organization.
- Excellent communication, synthesis and organizational skills allowing for an understanding of related subjects which would then allow the Senior Systems Engineer to be the source of proposals to guide and develop activities while taking into account all aspects.
- Ability to multitask across the organization, local and global, on various technical and non-technical subject matters.
- Experience with requirement management tools, configuration management tools, technical documentation tools, and problem reporting tool.
- Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law. Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: Mon-Thu with alternating Fri on a 9/80 schedule, or Mon-Fri on a 5/40 schedule.
- Physical Environment: Primarily in Salt Lake City, UT office on a hybrid work schedule.
- Travel: Travel: Anticipated to be less than 10% annually. Trips can be both domestic and international travel and less than 5 days in length, with international trips up to 7 days in length.
