Job Description:
Scality’s F&A team is looking for a dynamic and proactive Financial Manager. The Financial Manager works in close collaboration with the VP Finance & Legal, the F&A team, the Sales Operations department, the Sales teams and the company’s management team.
The Revenue Manager contributes to issuing the monthly financial reporting by driving the revenue data for the entire group. The Revenue Manager issues revenue analysis to be used by Scality’s Top Management and Shareholders. The Revenue Manager manages the calculations of monthly commissions and quarterly bonuses for payroll processing. The Revenue Manager contributes to any relevant ad-hoc missions.
Scality is transitioning to a subscription business model, critical to the success of the Company. This transition implies a deep transformation in the Revenue financial operations. The Revenue Manager owes the Revenue management cycle and contributes to making this transformation a success by implementing new processes and systems.
The Revenue Manager will be in direct contact with Customers, Sales teams and various departments inside the Company. The Revenue Manager will communicate clearly and with a professional manner the group standards and guidelines and will use judgment to find pragmatic solutions to specific situations.
The Revenue Manager will work in a multicultural environment where English is the primary language. The role involves working with different people working in different time zones (essentially Europe and Americas).
Responsibilities:
Revenue management - The revenue manager is responsible for the Revenue cycle which includes:
- Using ou Revenue management platform, Maxio, ensure that orders are processed timely and correctly, in collaboration with Sales Operations
- Communication with customers accounting and financial teams as appropriate
- Identify process improvement opportunities, propose improvements and implement them in collaboration with the relevant departments
- Update and ensure accuracy of revenue management platform and files
- In collaboration with Technical Teams, keep track of Professional Services Delivery for Revenue recognition and Invoicing purposes
- Prepare and send accurate revenue entries to local controllers for the issuance of the monthly financial reporting
- Prepare monthly Revenue and ARR analysis to be sent to Top Management and Shareholders
Commissions and bonus management - The revenue manager is responsible for the processing, calculations and communication of Commissions and Bonuses
- Using our Commission management platform and Excel files, ensure that commissions are processed timely and correctly, in collaboration with Sales Operations
- Prepare monthly Commission payment and quarterly Bonus payment and send to local controllers for payroll processing
- Communication with Employees on their commission or bonus payments as appropriate
- Identify process improvement opportunities, propose improvements and implement them in collaboration with the relevant departments
- Prepare quarterly Bonus and Commissions accruals and send to Local controllers for financial reporting purposes
- Collaborate with the VP Finance & Legal and the Head of Sales Operations in drafting the Annual Bonus and Commission plans
- Set up Commissions plan in the online commission management platform
Revenue Operations transformation and Ad-Hoc Missions
- Contribute to improve the setup of Scality new Revenue management platform (Maxio, former SaasOptics)
- Contribute to improve Revenue Management Platform User Guidelines, and training for the entire F&A Team, and management as appropriate
- Elaborate and implement any relevant processes in the context of the business model transformation
- Assist with IFRS Annual adjustments in relation to Revenue and Commissions
Requirements :
- B+3 or B+5 Business School or University with Speciality in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in an Accountant or Financial analyst role. Experience in one of the Big 4 auditing firms is a plus.
- English fluent
- Very good problem solving abilities and ability to get the answers needed from the relevant people
- Ability to be “hands-on” and driven by delivering accurate and complete sets of data and analysis.
- Conscientious and Attention to detail in order to provide accurate financial data
- Excellent communication skills, the Revenue Manager will be in contact with various departments inside the company and in direct contact with Customers
- Adaptability and ability to multi-task in a faced-paced environment and to juggle with deadlines
- Experience with online tooling. Experience with Salesforce, Maxio (former SaasOptics, Revenue Management platform), JIRA (Service management platform) and CaptivateIQ (Commission management platform) is a plus. The role requires day to day work with online platforms, Cloud platform Commissions and Professional Services management platforms.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Package, ability to understand, manage, improve complex Excel models
- Experience in the Software or Tech industry is a plus.
