- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the brand and “The Irving” customer experience standards.
- Assign and coordinate work of employees to promote efficiency of operations.
- Inspect kitchen, food preparation areas, stock, and kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure safety and sanitary standards are met.
- Keep records of amount and cost of meals served and hours worked by employees.
- Assist with the planning of staff schedules ensuring the team is utilized effectively.
- Supervise the preparation of a variety of foods and beverages, ensuring compliance with “The Irving” standards (portion sizes, cooking methods, quality), policies and procedures.
- Observe the performance of the food preparation staff to support the manager with the performance evaluation of the team.
- Serve customers and answer their complaints ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the inventories of food, beverages and equipment and requisition more supplies when it is needed.
- Ensure that a Food Safety culture is present at all time;
- making sure that food is prepared and stored in a safe and sanitary manner and that all food safety logs and activities are completed daily.
- Inspect kitchen, food preparation areas, stock, and kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitary standards are met.
- Close the kitchen following the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assists others in closing the kitchen.
- Train and teach food preparation techniques, and sanitation and safety procedures to store workers and supervise new retail workers if necessary.
- Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure service standards and efficient operations.
- Assist in keeping the maintenance of the store and stocking shelves as needed.
- Identify and suggest opportunities to improve store performance.
