Position Overview
The position’s primary focus will be to assist the Global IT Lead with both the daily tasks required for the
continuous operation of the IT department at BSR, and to support the Global IT Lead with the projects
set out in the IT workplan. The tasks required for this position include, onsite support, monitoring
service desk ticket queue, assisting with IT escalations (both remote and onsite), IT inventory updates,
hardware procurement, network monitoring and administration, domain and server maintenance and
administration, user accounts management, communications drafting, project scheduling, research, and
contract and policy review.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• System Administration
• Maintain Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Active Directory environments,
including group policy and security groups, user and computer accounts, and
organizational structure
• Maintain network infrastructure, including but not limited to LAN, WAN, and VPN
connections
• Perform IT procedures relating to Onboarding and Offboarding, including
communication, scheduling, and training
• Perform third-party software updates, including reporting, testing, and communication
• Maintain data backups of core systems, ensuring all data and material are up to date
and restoring data as required
• Maintain BSR technology hardware inventory, including asset tracking and equipment
refresh programs
• System Development
• Assist Global IT Lead with researching, planning, and execution of future system
enhancements and migrations
• Create and manage project timelines, scope, and end-user communications
• Process Improvement
• Assist with enhancements to key technology system processes and procedures
• Maintain and develop documentation of core BSR systems and service procedures
• Work with service desk vendor to improve existing procedures
• Service Desk Management
• Monitor staff requests and serve as support escalation and liaison for hardware and
software issues, including diagnosing, reporting, and remediation of both local and
remote systems
• Report technical issues to BSR staff and serve as primary contact for updates and
remediation procedures
• Provide onsite and remote support for staff including BSR Events and Webinars
• General
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner, adapt to rapidly changing business needs, and

This position is hybrid, with a minimum of two days of on-site work in New York City with ad hoc onsite support for events. The on-site requirement may be greater than two days depending on need – for example during weeks with several on-site events occurring in the New York office.
Compensation
At BSR we have implemented a transparent total compensation framework with an emphasis on internal equity. In order to maintain our equity our hiring rate is $71,816 for this position. Location adjustment will apply if successful candidate resides in New York.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related work experience supporting IT systems.
- Experience in project management, communication campaigns, and inventory management. Basic knowledge of Enterprise grade security, network infrastructure, domain/server management, and global security and privacy compliance frameworks
- Willingness to undertake up to 15% business travel.
