This role is part of the Product Strategy team and will report to SVP of Product Strategy. In this role you will also work closely with the CPO and the Product leadership team. Director of Operations/ Product operations lead you will have impact and clear delivery across all divisions in Cognite.
This position is a hybrid role working from the Oslo office.
Your main responsibilities and deliverables will include:
- Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets related to hiring, cost, revenues and margins. In this work you will work closely with the leadership team in Product, Finance and P&O.
- Regularly prepare and present financial and operational performance reports to senior management and other stakeholders, focusing on profitability, cost savings, and business impacts. As part of this delivery you have the overall responsibility of control of allocation to programs and that the hiring is in line with the forecast and investment for the company side.
- Be responsible for the reporting and follow up for external founded initiative
- Ensure alignment between operational and financial goals by monitoring the development of budget forecast and cost control for Product overall
- You will be responsible for implementing and improving processes to support strategic decision-making within Product
- Be a key point of contact across Product where you ensure good and clear communication regarding operational efficiency and improvements
- In this role and as part of the the Product Strategy team you will participate in different strategic projects and initiatives within Product

- To excel in this role you will need to be close with stakeholders across the organization and have a great understanding of what is happening within all aspects of Product
- We believe you have experience within business administration, finance or operations management
- Proven experience in data analysis, financial forecasting and metrics tracking
- Strong understanding of profitability, margin forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization strategies
- Demonstrated experience in automating operational processes and financial reporting, as well as working with cross-functional teams to implement improvements
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team consisting of designers, product managers and program managers to ensure the team builds the right product, that is of excellent quality and is delivered on time
- You have a background in a SaaS company. You have some experience with people management. The added experience of having worked as a tech lead, project manager or product manager is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- You have the motivation to work in a high-paced environment. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- 10+ yrs in the IT or asset-heavy industry
- MBA preferred
