DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented, self-directed Program Manager to provide program support for our GenAI startups portfolio. The GenAI Startups Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the planning, demand generation, execution and optimization of GenAI startup events we host to accelerate deals and deepen relationships with CxOs from our most strategic customers. This person will serve as the lead for their respective program, ensuring we are executing and communicating with internal stakeholders and external customers consistently across their events and delivering amazing experiences for our customers.
A successful candidate for this role is an independent, creative problem-solver with the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines. The right candidate will possess strong project management skills and be able to execute efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You are an extremely organized individual with experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You will also be exceptional at building relationships within the team and across the business. You will utilize your attention to detail, your experience in program and project management, and your excellent written communication skills to ensure high quality results. You are comfortable learning and mastering different marketing tools for budgeting, reporting, campaign set-up, email, etc. and helping with trouble-shooting for the team and support event execution where needed.
Key job responsibilities
• Strategize and lead small, complex programs within our Events portfolio, including: building the program and communications strategy; determining goals; creating work back plans with deliverables; managing cross-functional teams, vendors and agencies; budget management; tracking, analyzing, and communicating success metrics.
• Actively looks for ways to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness
• Earn trust and maintain strong relationships across the organization to support goals, and communicate with internal leaders and builders
• Utilize exceptional communication skills to manage leadership reviews, weekly team meetings, deliverables, timelines, budgets and post-event debriefs
• Support on-site execution of events
• • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
• • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization.
• • Ability to travel 30% of the time and work across time zonesThis is a hands-on role, and the ideal candidate will support strategic programs and events that deliver an exceptional customer value.
• Supporting experiences on-site at events as needed. This will include greeting guests, handling credentials or passes, ensuring catering is organized and guests and our senior leaders hosting the events are set up to host their customers. Some after-hours or on-call support may be needed via email and phone.
• Travel required 15-20%
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
