Quality Control InspectorR2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Control team. In this position, you will be responsible for upholding the company's quality requirements and ensuring the integrity of our diamond and jewelry products throughout the production process.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses exceptional time-management skills, the ability to multitask, and maintaining organization are essential qualities to succeed in this position. By ensuring quality standards are met and collaborating with various teams, the Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role in upholding the company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of diamond and jewelry products to ensure they meet our quality standards, including assessing gemstone settings, metalwork, and overall craftsmanship.
- Perform thorough visual examinations of finished jewelry pieces to assess overall quality, examining gemstone settings, metalwork, and surface finishes.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on repaired items to verify that they meet the required standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of inspections, repairs, and returns, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting for quality control purposes.
- Maintain tracking databases of all incoming and outgoing purchase orders.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, offering feedback to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control activities, inspection results, and non-conformities, facilitating future reference and auditing purposes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in jewelry manufacturing techniques, and quality control best practices, continuously enhancing the company's quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of jewelry materials, components, and repair techniques, including gemstone settings, soldering, polishing, and cleaning.
- Proven experience in quality control within the diamond and jewelry industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of gemstone grading, metalwork, and jewelry manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual acuity, enabling the identification of subtle defects and imperfections in jewelry pieces.
- A strong sense of ethics and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Base pay $19/hour - $25.50/hour. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
