The American Heart association has an opportunity for Community Impact Manager based out of our Seattle Division! This hybrid position involves extensive travel across Western Washington. This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on December 31, 2025.

The Community Impact Manager will manage the implementation and execution of health improvement programs as part of Hard Hats with Heart, an initiative to engage industrial workers across the country in living longer, healthier lives. The position will also support the team in the planning and implementation of local community impact opportunities.

Responsibilities

-Community Impact and Development Campaign Program Support and Management

• Execute implementation plans to drive participation and awareness of health improvement programs including the Hard Hats with Heart program and Hypertension Summit.

• Coordinate and support local events, volunteer recruitment drives, and community outreach initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program execution and adherence to American Heart Association guidelines and standards.

• Coordinate logistics for programs to include printing, mailing, and assembling materials

• Execute assigned sponsorship activation programming

• Monitor program metrics and provide regular reports on progress and outcomes including evaluations and surveys

• Organize digital and physical spaces for effective team use

• Administrative and data management as required

-Volunteer and Participant Engagement

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with program activities, events, and administrative tasks.

• Cultivate relationships with participants and sponsors to enhance their engagement and commitment to the program.

• Foster a sense of community among program participants through effective communication, engagement, and regular updates.

-Communication and Outreach

• Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, volunteers, and sponsors, providing support and addressing inquiries promptly.

• Perform outreach to organizations and volunteers including research of potential community partners.

• Distribute content email newsletters and other collateral to promote assigned programs and initiatives.

• Collaborate with the American Heart Association marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all promotional materials.

• Maintain a repository of resources, including educational materials, toolkits, and promotional assets, to support participants and volunteers.

• Regularly update program material and other educational resources.

• Conduct research and outreach to potential community partners organizations.

-Ensure full compliance with appropriate operational and financial requirements and practices and within the available budget. Operates in accordance with the American Heart Association's Fiscal Standard policies and all applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards.

-Manage information utilizing American Heart Association systems accurately, timely and completely in accordance with established guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Public Health or related field

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for program events and activities.

• Ability to do daily local travel; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.

Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:

• Experience in community management, event planning, or volunteer management.

• Knowledge of heart health and the mission of the American Heart Association is highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits
