Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing packages and deliveries. Their duties include receiving deliveries, verifying the accuracy of shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and making entries into Semtech’s CERS and SAP systems. They also prepare orders for shipment, ensuring items are correctly packaged and labeled as required, depending on what is being shipped. Additionally, they coordinate with carriers, track shipments, and manage any discrepancies or returns. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and test products to customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide back-up support to shipping and receiving
Coordinate outbound shipments, including selecting carriers, scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents (such as bills of lading and shipping labels), ensuring proper packaging and timely delivery.
Receive incoming shipments, inspecting them for accuracy, verifying quantities and quality, and documenting any discrepancies or damages.
Communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to coordinate shipping and receiving activities, resolve issues, and provide status updates as needed.
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, packing slips, customs forms, and export documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a high-volume shipping and receiving position
Experience with making international shipments and preparing the proper documentation to avoid any border related issues
Experience liaising with Fedex, UPS and other shipping providers
Proven experience with and knowledge of required practices for shipping highly sensitive equipment such as sample shipments for die, chips, and evaluation boards
In depth knowledge of MLS standards and previous experience using SAP and CERS systems
