This is an on-site position Mon-Friday from 8am to 5pm
Academic Req: Required – Bachelor’s degree in behavioural sciences, human services or social services
Preferred - Master’s degree in the behavioural sciences, human services, or social services fields
Certifications: First Aid/CPR, Emergency Behaviour Intervention
Work experience: Master's Degree - At least 3 years of progressive employment experience in these fields that demonstrate supervisory and case management experience
Bachelor's degree -- At least 5 years of progressive employment experience in these fields that demonstrate supervisory and case management experience.
Required – Personal or professional experience with victims of human trafficking, victims of child abuse and neglect, or youth experiencing homelessness and/or addiction. Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner preferred.
Summary: The trainer facilitates a comprehensive training program for newly hired and experienced Human Trafficking Interdiction Division personnel, including program leadership, in accordance with agency policies and procedures and state and federal standards and requirements.

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Establish and implement a training strategy and goals for the Human Trafficking Division
2. Develop and continually update program training manuals and materials
3. Frequently travel from one location to another inclusive of distances greater than 50 miles from home office for the purposes of ensuring greater understanding of training needs for those in the field as well as to provide in person trainings
4. Track training effectiveness by ensuring compliance with policies, protocols and trainings as well as create program development plans with program leadership
5. Ensure all personnel are effectively trained to successfully implement all program service modalities, both as new hires and on-going
6. Updates and maintains internal online training systems with program trainings and training compliance, providing prompts should individuals fall behind in adhering to required deadlines for trainings
7. Maintain national training budget and ensure programmatic compliance
8. Meet all training deadlines required by various program supervisors and their state and federal partners
Essential Functions:
1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position
2. Develop and present relevant training to Human Trafficking Interdiction personnel that meets agency, licensing and contract requirements and the individual needs of each staff
3. Independently develop effective social work, safety, and other program-related training materials which can be reviewed, approved, and implemented with minimal revision
4. Consistently provide and update training for OOG programs, community services and other stakeholders and funders
5. Develop, plan and maintain adequate staff training opportunities that provide staff numerous opportunities for skills and knowledge development and including staff on evening and overnight shifts
6. Responsible for staff training database that provides monthly and quarterly reports related to training and the impact of training on program practices and outcomes
7. Responsible Human Trafficking Interdiction Division program personnel files, training records and training certifications.
8. Develop professional relationships with other peers in the field, including private agencies and supporting agencies
9. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor
10. Implement BCFS HHS safety protocols in case of an emergency
11. Participate in scheduled meetings and team decisions and operations
12. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations
13. Observe and ensure compliance with BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS HHS employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and always complying with required dress code.
Requirements:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to: Trust Based Relationship Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, Mental Health First Aid
2. Assist Training, Train the Trainer CSE-IT Certification, _______ other certifications as applicable
3. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens
4. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request
5. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background check
6. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics
b. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and composure at all times
c. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position
d. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Human Trafficking Interdiction Division policies and procedures.
