The candidate for IT Technician will be self-motivated, hands-on and customer service oriented. Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of desktop and server equipment. Support desktop users across all departments. Perform day-to-day maintenance of computer equipment. Provide support for the video production and On-Air video/graphics computer systems. This individual ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to KCNC-TV values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as first point of contact for desktop computer hardware, software, printers and Active Directory users and groups
- Work with users to resolve issues as they arise
- Administration of network resources across all departments
- Monitor health of critical computer systems
- Maintain software patches and desktop/server Antivirus software
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of computer systems
- Work with vendors to resolve issues
- Provide users with basic software training
- Other duties assigned by Manager
REQUIRED
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills. Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once.
- Strong desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
- Proven experience with Windows Client OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma.
- Able to lift and carry at least 30-50 lbs.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
PREFERRED
- Microsoft Server and Client certification is a plus
- Experience with LAN administration
- Experience with Active Directory
- Knowledge of Cisco switches
- Experience with Video Editing Systems
