Job Profile Summary

Performs analysis, preparation, documentation, and filing of various property tax documents relative to tax compliance and planning.

Research, prepare, analyze, coordinate, and document information related to property tax filings and positions.

Assist in developing and coordinating various property tax and financial strategies to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations of various governmental authorities

Assist in analyzing and documenting, when required, federal, state and local property tax legislation and judicial activity in order to regulate and ensure specific and effective tax applications for the company.

Provide guidance and information related to proposed or enacted property tax regulations and legislation; tax procedures; and tax preparation and/or planning to employees, management, and others
Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or other related field with previous experience working in various tax accounting functions or equivalent formal education to include a combination of courses such as accounting I, intermediate accounting I/II, tax accounting, business communications, computer sciences, business law, or composition plus the following job-related experience:
Work Experience

Experience performing at an intermediate level in the areas of tax and financial accounting

Experience in use and function of office equipment including microcomputers and applicable software and accessing mainframe applications

Experience and/or training related to:

Gas Accounting activities and terminology

Communication/interpersonal skills

Experience researching, composing, reconciling, and preparing tax data, return forms, related studies, reports and filings

Experience reading and interpreting company correspondence, reports, accounting and tax-related publications, return forms, contracts, ledgers, manuals, and legal documents
