JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK East Texas Team is looking for an Intermediate Mechanic to office out of the Mont Belvieu area. The East Texas Mechanical Team is a highly engaged work group with high expectations and is excited to find a qualified individual to join the team. The Mont Belvieu Mechanic role supports a geographical area centered around Mont Belvieu, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for that area while assisting others throughout the footprint which may require out of town travel from time to time. Our business is centered around the transportation of NGL liquids which is a “raw grade propane type product”. We utilize a wide variety of centrifugal pumps and motors on multiple pipeline sizes throughout the area to provide our services to the energy sector. Day to day responsibilities may include but not limited to the following.
- JSA and Job planning
- Centrifugal pump and large A/C Motor troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements
- Pump and motor thrust and radial bearing troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements.
- High pressure mechanical seal troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements
- Small and large high pressure valve troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements
- High pressure valve greasing and sealing
- Learn, support, and assist in emergency response.
- Learn, support, and assist in local project coordination, planning and execution efforts.
- Needs to be a self-motivating and team player with the ability to work side by side with other individuals or independently.
- Effectively identify high risk activities and implement the appropriate level of risk Management.
- Effectively share knowledge to a diverse group of people and positions.

- Understands the function of and able to disassemble and rebuild various pieces of equipment; Pneumatic equipment, MOV’s, Pump Seals, Filtration Systems, Lube systems, Pig Sigs, Valves
- Able to troubleshoot problems and demonstrate the ability to learn, develop and apply those lesson learned.
- Able to understand cause and effect for problems, equipment, and pipeline system.
- Able to collect vibration utilizing data collector and download to the server.
- Must pass the valve Pro valve school or equivalent and demonstrate proficiency in the valve identification, troubleshooting, Maintenance and high-pressure valve greasing and sealing.
- Maintain and operate a large company vehicle with a Class C Driver’s license.

Directs or performs advanced level activities related to mechanical work on equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations including, but not limited to:
- Internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers
- Compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment
- Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment. Conduct and interpret performance analyses, including emissions testing
- Train and direct employees involved in mechanical work
- Order and/or secure parts and supplies
- Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
- Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records including, but not limited to:
- Work logs and service orders
- Inspection reports
- Engine/equipment maintenance and repair records
- Pressure readings
- Material and supply orders
- Engine and compressor oil analysis reports
- Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

- Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to position
- Experience and advanced knowledge servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
- Experience relative to company and/or governmental operating/safety policies and procedures
- Advanced experience in troubleshooting equipment abnormalities and failure modes analysis
- Experience reading and interpreting work and repair orders, drawings, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, warranties, quotations, procedures and equipment manuals
- Experience preparing, processing, verifying records, safety and environmental reports, diagrams and material and supply orders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of: ordering and/or securing parts and supplies
