Power Systems Design Engineer

Player Design, Inc is seeking a Power Systems Design Engineer, to be based in their Portland, Maine office or remote in the Eastern US.
Requirements of the Power Systems Design Engineer:

- 5+ years of experience as a Design Engineer, 7-10 years preferred.
- EIT required, PE preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar software
- Design experience with medium voltage power systems in an industrial environment
- Transformer and switchgear specification design
- 480V MCC system design required
- General layout knowledge of industrial sites including overhead and underground distribution systems
- Project management skills including MS Project, budget tracking, and cost controls
- Safety knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Travel to client sites (potential of up to 16 weeks/year)
- Travel to Portland, ME monthly

Responsibilities of the Power Systems Design Engineer:

- Detailed design of MCC and Power Systems for industrial sites
- Power cable / bus bar selection for devices, motors, and transformers
- Generate oneline drawings and detailed cable layouts as required in CAD based software
- Vendor specifications for tender packages
- Vendor and budget management
Player Design, Inc is a leader in solid fuel energy systems and industrial drying systems. This position reports to the President and will be responsible for the design of MCC and power systems, project management, and vendor management of client projects.
