A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Install, repair, and maintain conduit, grounding, motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components
- Ensure compliance with design drawings, electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Set major equipment including breakers, switches, instrument transformers, reactors, and capacitor banks
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A state-issued journeyman electrician license; OR equivalent combination of education and experience with willingness to obtain journeyman license
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen
- Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel)
- Must be able to work consistently outside, frequently in inclement weather
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Substation experience
- Forklift, skid steer, mini excavator, trencher, and/or manlift experience
