Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) (Direct Hire)

Duties

• Elicit and communicate mission specific computer systems needs and requirements from NASA IV and V Program personnel and to service providers.
• Maintain awareness of government regulations and industry best practices relating to computer systems, software engineering principles, information technology (IT), and IT security relevant to the mission requirements of the NASA IV and V Program.
• Review software, hardware, and service requests for technical alignment with NASA enterprise architecture, regulations, policies, and practices.
• Facilitate communication and cooperation amongst TASO customers, TASO contractors, managers, external stakeholders (such as Office of Chief Information Officer [OCIO], OSMA, and Office of Chief Engineer [OCE]) and other internal stakeholders.
• Monitor progress of and provide guidance to contractor teams designing and implementing technical solutions for the NASA IV and V Program.
• Understand, communicate, and implement policies regarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Classified National Security Information (CNSI).
