Supervisory Electronics Engineer, AST, Avionic Systems

Duties

• Obtain resources and identify strategic objectives for the organization.
• Recommend employee promotions and recognition; approve leave; implement performance modifications and take corrective actions as appropriate.
• Provide employees resources and information that ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

• Assist the Branch Chief in developing and maintaining the strategic vision of the Branch and implement the tactical plan to ensure the Branch maintains alignment with the Division, JSC, and Agency strategic plan.
• Manage the design, development and test of spacecraft systems including command, guidance, navigation, flight control, communications, tracking, instrumentation, data services, and human interfaces for human space flight programs.
• Coordinate resolution of inter-branch issues to ensure that consistent avionics designs are obtained with efficient utilization of Agency resources. Manage avionics systems and subsystem interfaces with other branches.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
