Responsibilities include:
•Operate pipeline and terminal pumping equipment when required.
•Bleed or flush lines that contain refined product.
•Prepare daily inventory reports and terminal balance reports.
•Communicate to customers information needed regarding their throughput and inventory.
•Sample and analyze products and maintain a high standard of quality control on all products receive, stored, and shipped.
•Conduct safety watches and facility safety orientations with outside contractors as advised by management.
•Ensure all environmental and safety equipment is working properly.
•General light facility maintenance.
•Facility housekeeping.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- DOT Operator Qualification required.
- Must be able to work rotating 8-hour shifts (days, evenings).
- Electrical/electronic background preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in terminal/pipeline operations is preferred.
- Must be able to work with hazardous materials including gasoline, ethanol, fuel oils and petroleum additives.
- Ability to train truck drivers for loading and assist with loading as needed.
- Must be able and willing to respond to callouts and emergencies after hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able and willing to work hours outside normal hours as scheduled and required by management.
- Must be able to work independently as well with others.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a tractor with front end loader and rear mower, zero turn riding mower is preferred.
- Initiative and organization abilities for meeting deadlines and establishing priorities required.
