What You'll Do:

- Manage the contracting process, including developing and managing our Agiloft contracts management system, handling contract requests, logging essential contract data into the contracts management system, obtaining signatures, and organizing fully executed contracts.
- Independently negotiate and finalize customary/routine contract terms.
- Work with functional leads, management, and, as needed, external legal counsel, on more complex agreements.
- Collaborate with team members and management on highly complex contract matters.
- Initiate and supervise internal Company-wide projects in conjunction with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to proactively make improvements to legal operations (e.g., document review systems, contract and content management systems, etc.).
- Plan, develop, and implement operational initiatives designed to build out processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate and provide information to senior stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
- Create preliminary drafts and serve in first-round review of standard and non-standard commercial agreements, including consulting agreements, master service agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, statements of work/work orders, and other business agreements.
- Maintain, organize, and file contracts in our Agiloft contracts management system.
- Generate recurring reports and respond on a timely basis to ad hoc requests from key stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations related to the contract lifecycle for Company-wide training sessions.
- Work cross-functionally to reconcile financial contract commitments against purchase order information.
- Assist with other general administrative and legal support as needed.
About You:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university; paralegal certificate is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on contract drafting, ideally within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector or at a prominent law firm.
- Strong understanding of the principals and key issues in a range of commercial agreements including CDAs, MTAs, MSAs, consulting agreements, supply agreements.
- Proficiency in contracts management software platforms, preferably Agiloft, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skilled in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
- Capable of collaborating with key stakeholders to optimize legal operations to adapt to new business processes.
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-starter, and team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

$127,000 - $150,000 a year
The expected salary for a Contracts Manager in this role in South San Francisco, CA is $127,000 - $150,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, Circle’s internal pay equity, etc
