Description of Role:
The Business Development Director will take the lead in finding and closing new enterprise relationships for Covr. Covr operates in the financial institutions channel and targets wire houses, banks, credit unions, broker dealers, RIAs, publishers, robos and agencies as its partners. Current clients include Citi, Morgan Stanley, ETrade, investopedia.com and 50 other FIs and is looking to expand new partnerships by 10-15 per year.
Job Functions:
- Spearhead outreach to potential accounts, conduct demos, and present Covr’s value proposition to target firms
- Identify customer requirements and align them with our suite of products and platforms to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Develop proposals, SOWs and contract terms, including pricing negations.
- Represent Covr at industry events to network, showcase capabilities, and generate leads.
- Work closely with onboarding and customer success teams to ensure seamless configuration, launch processes and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, focused on marketing or related field
- 5 years of enterprise sales experience in the financial institutions market
- Strong knowledge of life insurance, Insurtech/embedded insurance and Covrs’ targeted distribution channels.
- Prior experience in customer service and account engagement.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven track record of high-performance sales activity.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive phone presence.
- Strong verbal communication skills to build relationships and articulate value propositions effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Salesforce, and Excel.
- Proficiency with contract terms, pricing and product demos.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and personal integrity.
- Salary and Bonus: $100,000-120,000 plus uncapped bonus opportunity targeted at 100% of base salary
- Equity: equity grant in Covr in the form of stock options
