DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Join our dynamic team as the Senior Business Development Manager specializing in B2B enterprise sales within the life insurance Insurtech marketplace. This role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves outward-facing business development activities, including reaching out to potential accounts, running demos, and presenting our Insurtech platforms to financial brands, institutions, and advisory firms.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 80% Outwardly facing sales focused.
- Calling on new potential accounts.
- Running demos and presenting Covr’s value proposition.
- Identifying customers’ needs and matching them to one of our products & platforms.
- Clearly presenting our capabilities.
- Attending sales conferences and trade exhibitions.
- Coordinating with BD onboarding team and customer success to ensure a smooth process.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of enterprise corporate sales experience.
- Must have experience working in the financial services market.
- Life insurance industry experience or have worked in distribution either via insurance carrier or BGA or insurance agency is a plus.
- Strong life insurance product knowledge
- Heavy customer service via phone a plus
- Positive thinker with strong interpersonal skills and confidence
- Ideally exposure to the insurtech industry.
- Proven track record of sales results and execution
Knowledge and Skills:
- Persistent marketer with proven track record of high performance/activity
- Strong customer service skills with a strong positive phone presence
- Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to build phone-based relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus.
- Must be a self-starter and ability to learn independently through experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Salesforce and Excel.
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability.
- Ability to articulate message quickly and effectively over the phone, zoom or face-to-face meeting.
