All about the role:
The Category Manager resides with in Electrolux’s group Purchasing organization. Driving Brand Loyalty is an integral part of the mission, and this position is a critical link to promoting Brand Loyalty among Electrolux customers by providing them with an effortless experience.
Within the Consumer Direct Interaction Purchasing Organization, the Category Manager is the one with the key responsibility of sourcing and securing required components and materials to support the best-in-class availability of after-market parts and accessories at the lowest total delivered cost to Electrolux and its customers. This is a strategic role that requires cross collaboration, expansive ideas, and close attention to detail. You will also lead the implementation of projects to deliver cost savings in the sourcing of required materials and components needed to support after-market parts and accessories across our cooking, fabric care, dish care, and refrigeration product lines.
What you’ll do:
As the Category Manager, you are the one responsible to establish and build the relationships with our Suppliers leading the Value Based Sourcing approach, being sure all the departments you cooperate with are aligned with your Purchasing vision and road map for the assigned category. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, such as CDI Marketing, CDI Product Lines, CDI Sales, Legal and Major Appliances Purchasing and Engineering teams to identify and support new product launches, implement cost out projects and align the CDI purchasing team on global category strategies. Additionally, you will support Warehousing Operations in the Indirect Spend category, ensuring a close alignment with the local leadership and operational team to support their Indirect Spend support needs.

In detail, you will:
Manage the business strategically with the objective to leverage, to promote complexity reduction, simplification, modularization, cost performance and innovation driving including Supplier Development (automation, quality improvement, productivity increase) and support sourcing decisions in close collaboration with the Global Domain
Maximize buying efficiency, minimize supply disruption, and financial risks for the Business Areas
Identify potential contract improvement opportunities & re-negotiations.
Work with the Product Lines of the Business Area and Global Category Managers to build and deploy a category strategy that aligns with CDI Business strategy.
implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
Support the sourcing needs of new aftermarket consumables and accessories by interviewing and conferring with prospective suppliers to determine supplier capabilities, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and ensure best-in-class total cost sourcing solutions.
Qualifications required:
BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing, category management
Experience analyzing business procurement challenges and opportunities, recommending solutions and strategies, and implementing changes that read through to the P&L of the business
