DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Global Tax Services team is seeking a Senior Program Manager. Our team leads change and partners with teams across Amazon to plan, coordinate, and optimize tax data delivery processes.
We are looking for Senior PM to lead a program focused on process improvement and automation initiatives from within our Global Tax Services team. Successful candidates will have fluency in at least two of the three disciplines – Finance (specifically Tax and/or Accounting), Program Management and Technology – and will be well versed in all three in order to bridge across our diverse group of stakeholders. The candidate needs to be able to easily understand the business line, supporting information technologies, and finance / accounting / tax disciplines, as well as the impacts of each on the project. They also need to be able to communicate in these areas with current process owners and executive level project stakeholders.
This is an exciting and challenging cross-functional role working with a global team of software engineers, program managers, tax professionals, as well as internal and external product stakeholders across the company.
Key job responsibilities
• Product Engagement: Influence product roadmap for features and functionality that support tax reporting.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with tax teams to enhance efficiency and controllership in current processes and educate stakeholders on data sourcing for tax reporting.
-Develop metrics: Support the creation of new metrics to quantify the value of improvements in data quality and data delivery efficiencies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering relationships with tax, business, and engineering teams across Amazon.
• Communication: Ability to explain financial and technical concepts and analyses clearly to individuals at all levels, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable plan.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
