DESCRIPTION
The Worldwide Amazon Stores (WWAS) and G&A HR Partner (HRP) team is seeking an experienced Sr. Business Analyst (BA) who is passionate about using data to drive critical business decisions for senior leadership. As a Sr. BA you will deliver data insights and deep dive novel questions to give our leaders access to data that is timely, accurate, and actionable. You will also partner with senior leaders throughout Amazon to drive insights, align scalable metrics, and track measurable results. Leveraging your passion for data, you will help create key analytical frameworks.
In this role, you will be an independent Sr. BA who can source data, analyze, refine, model, present, and automate our business data . You will always be on the lookout for ways to optimize the information flow process, and be able to work on multiple, related projects at a time.
Key job responsibilities
• Build data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses – or components of larger solutions to answer business questions with data.
• Create scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
• Understand the business at its core and use that understanding to generate various business insights.
• Troubleshoot data, analyses, and code, research root causes, propose solutions, and take ownership over next steps for their resolutions.
• Generate business review metrics and documents to inform business and HR leaders on progress to people-related goals.
• Lead projects or components from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
• Field and resolve various ad hoc analytical needs for the WWAS & G&A HRP leadership team.

About the team
The WWAS G&A HRP team provides high judgment guidance and consultation on core and common processes to managers around the world. The Business Operations and Program Management team partners closely with the HRP senior leadership team to sure the organization continues to provide the best manager experience while operating as efficiently as possible.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
