About the Role:
Tubi's ambitious Discovery & AI team is seeking two Data Scientists. These roles require cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Content, and Data to support the company’s most cutting-edge initiatives. You will improve user experiences for both new and returning users by applying ML and AI. You will lead a diverse set of projects, providing insights and recommendations to inform data-driven decisions that drive our recommender systems. You will have a valued voice in the future of our personalization platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Apply statistical rigor, metric alignment, transparency, and effectiveness to Tubi’s decision-making process
- Help the Machine Learning team refine their recommendation models to elevate user experiences
- Identify the best strategies to optimize the experiences of new and returning users
- Evaluate experiment designs, including pre-test planning, in-flight monitoring, and post-experiment analysis for graduation decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build pipelines and tools and make business-impacting decisions
Your Background:
- Strong technical experience in a Data Science role, emphasizing user journey initiatives, recommendations, and personalization
- Experience with product analytics and working with event-level data
- Advanced proficiency in programming and data manipulation using SQL, Python, and/or Spark
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and the ability to derive insights from large datasets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to present complex findings in a structured and transparent manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Video streaming industry experience is a plus
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
California, New York City, Westchester County, NY, and Seattle, WA Compensation
Base ($122,000 to $174,000 / year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits
Colorado and Washington (excluding Seattle, WA) Compensation
Base ($110,000 to $157,000 / year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits
