The Corporate Engineering team builds/provides services and infrastructure that allow our Bricksters to be successful. To accomplish this the team is dedicated to ensuring that the underlying infrastructure is running smoothly and that systems and tools are working as expected.
As an Automation / Cloud Infra Engineer, you will join a team that works diligently to understand and solve the most challenging problems through Automation. You will learn the basics of cloud and supporting infrastructure such as AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines as foundations that are used for automation use cases. You will also get a chance to see how Corporate Engineering works closely with the business to develop automations. You will see how the corporate engineering Infrastructure team works with relevant stakeholders to translate their requirements into secure solutions, balancing security and usability.
The impact you will have:
- Assist Infrastructure team while we roll out automation and infra that will keep Databricks' service resilient and stakeholders effective at their work.
- Assist in the development of micros services deployed on Kubernetes and or Lambda to drive automation.
- Test new features and provide feedback.
- Learn the basics of cloud infrastructure, devops and operating infrastructure at scale with automation.
What we look for:
- 2+ years of relevant experience and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related subject
- Experience with Terraform and/or Python.
- An ability to think from the end-users' perspective, analyze and suggest improvements.
- You are excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team.
U.S. Citizenship Requirement:
In order to comply with U.S. Government information security and federal contractor regulations, including Department of Defense Cloud Computing Security Requirements for Impact Level 6 Cloud Service Provider personnel, and facilitate compliance with other regulations such as FedRAMP High baseline, and requirements of certain federal contracts, this role is open to United States citizens on United States Soil only.
Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
