Accounts Payable Specialist
Description
- Timely and accurate input of vendor invoices; approximately 200 -300 a month
- Review and process employee expense reports; approximately 150 a month
- Adhere to payment and reimbursement policies, educating employees on policies
- Confirm invoices against budgets
- Coordinate payments and reimbursements among our offices globally
- Process check runs and payments via online banking systems
- Manage payment schedules to avoid late fees and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Research and resolve vendor inquiries
- Maintain documentation of AP processes
- Assist in streamlining and improving processes based on best practices
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger
- Maintain account work papers for AP and Employee Expense general ledger accounts
- Other duties and projects as needed
- Minimum 3 years of Accounting and/or Accounts Payable experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting preferred
- General ledger and job costing experience a plus
- Experience with multi-company and multi-currency transactions desired
- Ability to remain professional while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Intermediate experience in Excel, including xlookup, pivot tables and formulas
