Maintenance Tech IPay Details:
The starting hourly rate range for this position is $19.71 to $24.64 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.The Maintenance Tech I is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position within the Operations Department of the Honda Center. Maintenance Techs are responsible for performing maintenance duties as required and responding and resolving building-related problems and/or service requests. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in a team dynamic. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
Repair drywall, paint, tile, carpet, concrete patching, door and lock repair, and other repairs as necessary
Perform required repairs/upkeep as needed to arena seating and miscellaneous equipment
Metal and woodworking – fabrication/welding
Maintain proper inventory levels in the Maintenance Shop and pick up supplies as needed
Perform preventive inspections
Able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift and can obtain necessary certification if applicable
Coordinate with vendors and contractors
Partner with management on various projects and job duties, such as on new and inventive maintenance procedures and protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
High School diploma or equivalent GED
Must be skilled in the use of various hand and power tools
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance capacity or similar role
Able read and write in English
Basic computer proficiency
Able to use a handheld radio and communicate effectively
Excellent decision-making skills and follow-through skills
Punctual and able to complete projects on time
Energetic, self-motivated, and eager to learn new operating procedures
Possess a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record
Requires prolonged standing and bending; able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Flexible schedule; can work varying shifts, weekends, and some holidays as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience Required - 3-5 Years
