As an Area Leader, you will manage the daily operations of a team of 15 to 30+ Service Valets across 20 to 30+ apartment communities, ensuring effective waste and recycling collection and promoting a culture of excellence and safety. This role combines in-field supervision with administrative tasks performed from a home office.
Salary Range: $47,000-$50,000

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to ensure the consistent daily and nightly completion of resident doorstep trash/recycling/compost pickup, driving service excellence
- Create and manage schedules for Service Valets in collaboration with the Operations Manager, considering labor budget and staffing needs
- Provide on-call support to Service Valets and assigned communities
- Drive system (iValet) compliance through consistent communication, training, and development of all Service Valets
- Ensure all service tasks are completed within designated timelines and maintain high standards of service
- Oversee adherence to safety and collection policies, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct monthly virtual training sessions and regular physical check-ins to keep Service Valets updated on safety practices and address operational concerns
- Actively monitor for safety incidents, report any occurrences promptly, and quickly respond to any quality or safety issues
- Address concerns raised by residents and conduct regular property visits to ensure client satisfaction and maintain quality standards
- Track performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data to identify trends, and recommend productivity improvements
- Foster a supportive environment, promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere to help retain Service Valets
- Provide coaching and mentorship, addressing associate development needs through targeted training opportunities
- Attend team meetings virtually, in person, or off-site as required, driving iValet app compliance and overall professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven track record in building and leading successful teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and spreadsheets
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of basic employment law and customer service principles
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload to meet client needs and deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, strong organizational ability, and a high level of integrity and accountability
Physical Requirements and Special Conditions of Employment:
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., navigate stairs, bend, and reach overhead
- Work/drive outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate unpleasant odors
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and safely operate a company vehicle following local and state rules, as well as company policies

The final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
