What role you will play in our team
-
The land analyst will play a central role helping manage a growing portfolio of land leases within the Low Carbon Solutions business.

Assist and support in the nature of title interpretation, leasing, and contract research and analysis, data entry / retrieval, mapping, and performance indicator tracking and reporting required to comply with all applicable property and title obligations. Utilize processes, systems and controls to document, administer and maintain commercial agreements and/or maps, and to comply with all legal and controls requirements.

What you will do

Collaborate and coordinate with land service companies, brokers, landmen, and land administrators to acquire, lease, steward, administer, and monetize surface and subsurface rights to deliver/protect value and mitigate risk across the asset life cycle

Analyze commercial agreements, leases, and property/title documents

Maintain and enhance systems and controls to ensure compliance with agreement obligations
-
Ensure accurate setup, administration and management of mineral lease records to assure data integrity, and verify lease rental payments, obligations, and critical dates to ensure all obligations and payments are met in a timely manner

Render commercial agreement advice and expertise (e.g., maintenance, obligations, etc.) to business line customers

Develop, own, and review reporting in support of internal and external requirements e.g., leasehold interest and acreage reporting

Maintain current understanding of laws and regulations affecting ExxonMobil’s assets in all jurisdictions in area of responsibility

Support the processing of invoices and lease bonus payments

Respond to external inquiries (e.g., Landowner, Royalty Owners, Partners, etc.)

Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve complex issues and mitigate risk relative to land agreements

Develop and/or update integrated Land maps using various data sources, as required

Utilize online databases to pull official records, including federal, state, and county
About you
Skills and Qualifications
-
Minimum bachelor's degree in relevant field
-
10+ years of experience in a land/lease administration, management, or analyst role
-
Experience working with or directly for a land service company focused on acquiring oil and gas or mineral leases or other surface rights leasing
-
Knowledge of land and mineral rights laws and regulations
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (excel, powerpoint, outlook)

Experience with ArcGIS and Quorom Land
-
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
-
Experience managing a land service company focused on oil, gas, or mineral leasing

In-depth knowledge of land and mineral rights laws and regulations

Bachelor’s degree in land management, energy management, business administration, data science, finance, or related area

Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills with internal and external cross functional teams
-
Self motiviaited and strong ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
