Job Duties and Responsibilities
In the System Engineering & Testing Team, the 5G O-RAN Principal Engineer will be driving and supporting all RAN-related matters. You will interact closely with DISHkey partners such as DISH Technology, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and RF Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical evaluations of major system enhancements and major new customer requirements
- Partner with Capacity & Performance Heads and Program Managers and provide active support and guidance to execute development projects
- Define Entry/Exit criteria for new RAN software loads/releases migrating from
Sandbox >; Integration >; Pre-production >; Production environments - Define test cases and evaluate the performance behavior of new software releases in integration/pre-production/production environments
- Support RAN FOA/FFI testing and evaluation
- Work on evolving test case automation process to improve SW test cycle time
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications Engineering
- 10+ years of expert-level proficiency in Radio Access Network (RAN)
Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of mobile networks, including 3GPP and FCC LTE 4G/5G standards
- Experience with RAN SW Tools like Accuver, TEMS, NEMO, and Wireshark
- Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and reporting RAN-related data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a curiosity for continuous learning

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $200,000.00/Year
